However, you may take a peek behind the curtain. This site has no build process. It is built using WordPress, old school CSS, and some light vanilla JS. None of the styles or javascript are compressed.

What I track (and what I don’t)

I use Fathom Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. That’s it. Fathom is privacy-focused—they don’t use cookies, don’t track you across sites, and don’t collect personal data. I just want to know if anyone’s actually reading this stuff.

I don’t use cookies. I don’t track you. I don’t build a profile of who you are or what you do.

On the Newsletter?

I use Kit for my simple email signup forms. When you give me your email, I store it there so I can send you things I think you’ll find useful. I’m not collecting anything else—no tracking pixels, no behavior monitoring, just your email address.

I will never sell your email to anyone. That’s gross.

Sometimes I embed stuff

I might embed a YouTube video or a tweet. When I do, those companies (YouTube, Twitter) might track you according to their own policies. I can’t control that, but I try to keep embeds to a minimum.

Affiliate links

Sometimes I’ll recommend products I actually use and include affiliate links. If you buy something, I might get a small commission. I’ll always be upfront about this, no sneaky business.
